Welcome to the live traffic blog for Friday, July 19, 2019 – the first day of the Royal International Air Tattoo 2019.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on traffic heading towards RAF Fairford, especially the A417, A419, M4 and M5.
Traffic management is in place with AA road signs directing traffic to the show from different approaches to the Cotswolds base.
There have also been two accidents on the county roads this morning, including a crash on the B4213 at Lower Apperley, and on the B4632 at Stanton. Details in the blog below.
While a huge diesel spill on the M5 in Somerset, and a fire near the motorway in Bristol, have caused delays for commuters. More here.
We’ll also bring you the latest on the weather as the morning progresses, with an hour-by-hour guide to three days of RAF Fairford weather for the air tattoo.
