The Role:

This is an opportunity to use your administrative skills at the heart of local government, providing professional support to an adult social care team of around 70 people. Your focus will be on maintaining diaries, organising meetings, managing data and dealing with freedom of information requests. You will also be the first point of phone contact for service users and their carers. Taking minutes at confidential safeguarding meetings will be a key part of the role – so we will rely on your fast, accurate note taking and your absolute discretion over sensitive issues.

About You:

Highly organised with plenty of initiative and exceptional attention to detail, you’ll be used to the demands of supporting a busy team. In particular you will be well-practised at diary management and minute-taking (both of which be tested as part of the interview). Advanced computer skills are expected, including proficiency in the full range of MS Office applications.  You’ll have good people skills and will be an excellent communicator.
